Hi Guys, Happy Monday!

I thought I would give you all some Monday Motivation, and talk to you guys about the steps you need to follow in order to fulfil your dreams. The last two weeks or so I’ve been feeling a little demotivated in a few areas, I’ve suddenly become so busy, and I’ve found I just don’t have enough time for myself.

Event though I’ve been blogging, and active on social media…I’ve taken some time out and I’ve been reflecting as you do. You know when you feel like you’re not quite where you want to be, and feel a little behind in life? So I decided to review the path I’m taking to follow my dreams, and the things I need to do to get there. So here are a few steps I’ve discovered through feeding my inspiration, as it was a little hungry…

1. Get Over Your Fears

This is an important one, as fear is one of the main barriers that prevents you from perusing your dreams. This is also strongly related to my next point, about believing in yourself! If you don’t get over your fears, you won’t posses the courage to go and do what you have to do to fulfil your dreams. You might lack confidence, or have lack of knowlege, when it comes to knowing what you need to do. Even if you don’t know what that fear is, work out the route cause and deal with it.

2. Believe in Yourself

Once you have dealt with the fear, you need to start believing in yourself, your capabilities, and have that peace, that comfort knowing that you can achieve anything you set out to do. Sometimes a lack of faith in yourself, might also be embedded within some of the fears you may have.

You are amazing, you will conquer, you will slay! Believe that!

3. Positive thinking

If you haven’t read my previous post ‘The Art of Positive Thinking’ go read that now. There I detail the steps that I take to maintain positive thoughts. It’s important that you program your thoughts to believe and prepare your mind for success.

If you’ve been around me this week, you will know my anthem this week has been “I’m not destined to be poor”. Why have I been saying this? I know that I know, that I am not destined to be poor, for one thing I have an expensive eye haha! I can be in Top Shop, and everything I pick up has that white hard tag, you know the one with the black ribbon down the middle which means it’s expensive haha! I spend time looking at future houses, cars, thinking about what I plan to achieve in the next year and beyond. I need funds to accomplish these things, and I have decided that I am destined to achieve these things.

 4. Feed your Inspiration

This involves reading and indulging in things that inspire you, that ignite that fire to motivate you to make the necessary steps you need to follow your dreams. Here are a list of a few things I do:

  • Read motivational / related books
  • Watch motivational YouTube videos and Ted Talks
  • Surround myself with likeminded people
  • If you don’t have a mentor get one
  • Research all things relevant to your dreams, that sets you on the right path

5. Your Friendship Circles

You are the company you keep. Surround yourself with like-minded individuals, that inspire and motivate you. I have a great circle of friends, and we have even set up monthly meet ups to discuss anything and everything concerning our goals, and exchange skills where others in the group may lack.

As well as surrounding yourself with people that inspire you, don’t forget, you also have the power to inspire others. You may have that one friend who is a bit of an anchor, you never know what advice you give may do for them. It’s important that you don’t forget about this part.

6. Take action – Follow your Dreams

Exactly what the above says! Get on with it, drop those excused and get on it! Do the research you need, ask the questions you need to ask, sign up to those courses you need to and in time experience future success. I made a lot of excuses about many things, even starting this blog!
