Balenciaga Triple S trainers are the newest trainer addition to my collection. I actually bought these trainers a few months ago and have already worn these to death, and continue to wear them almost daily. The daddy or ugly trainer trend is still going strong, and I feel like Balenciaga have totally owned this trend. Other popular brands such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Acne Studios and Alexander McQueen all have their own version of the ugly trainer and some great alternatives to the style. I actually own a pair from Alexander McQueen platform trainers, however, I would say these are more on the smart side.
When I bought these trainers, work was at its peak. I was working late and my team had a tone of deliverables. I found myself not being on Instagram, not posting on my blog and turning down social events or missing them! Looking after global accounts and brands is challenging, but rewarding due to what you learn and seeing the product of you and your teams efforts. I’ve learnt so much over the last 10 months! However, I learnt how important to maintain that work-life balance while trying to be a girl boss.
Balenciaga Tripple S Vs Schutz Heels – Day to Night Look
This look is a true depiction of what I would wear to work if I’m planning to go out straight after. I will usually do my make up halfway through the day, as I usually rub off half of it off while doing work at my desk. So this will ensure that my make up still looks fresh when I leave the office. The Balenciaga Triple S’ is one of few trainers I can just about get away with when having meetings, as they work really well with suits and tailoring as well as casually. They make a boring blazer and jeans look so fashion.
Essentially, this is a how-to style from day to night. The key items I changed from was the shoes and added a belt. The Off-White belt is a great piece to have in your wardrobe. It’s a statement, and so versatile when styling over jackets, blazers and even dresses! It’s also really easy to carry around if you’re like me and hates carrying a huge bag with a change of clothes around (if I must I’m sassy and bring a suitcase lol). The same goes for the shoes, lightweight, strappy and black you really can’t go wrong. You can be stylish for the office and between meetings, to pow for your evening plans.
The more senior you become, the more responsibility you take on, the more people become dependant on you. It also means you’re more likely to take work home with you or stay in the office all hours, making sure that campaign gets pushed live or that report is sent. This year I’ve learnt the art of being frugal with my time. I’ll write a post about this in depth, but this means grouping meetings together in my diary, and not accepting meeting invites that does not have a clear agenda. This means I have longer blocks of time at my desk to do work and be productive. As a result, I’m leaving work earlier and still maintaining that social life! Let me know what you guys do to be more effective at work!
