Happy Friday!
It’s practically the weekend, and the sun has been behaving, and finally acting like it’s summer, as it should be! Anyway, today’s post is a quick one about boohoo, a brand I’ve only started shopping from recently. So last week I decided to pass through their press day.
Now I’m usually a Top Shop, ASOS and Urban Outfitters type of girl! But recently I’ve started to branch out, to seek new brands to wear, and also feature on the blog. Now boohoo isn’t a new brand at all, but last month I bought 4 tops from there, and I’ve been impressed by the value for money and the quality so far!
The Press Day
So their Christmas in July event was last week, and I loved all the sassy pieces in their AW16 collection. There are two main themes, one of which were sequins in bright neutral tones like rust, cream, gold and pink. I feel it was very 70’s inspired, with some really cool sassy jumpsuits and sequins in the traditional 70’s fashion colour palate. There were also some black pieces in there too.
Then there was this monochrome, metallic like trend, with many pieces having silver lace detailing, over black material and 3D like metallic grey prints. Slightly spacey like, but all beautiful pieces. Again this trend also included some sequin pieces, all beautiful and perfect for the up and coming party season.
The press day was also a great opportunity to meet with old friends, who are also bloggers and to meet some cool new ones too. As you can see, yes pictures are limited haha! This is because I can be a chatter box sometimes, and yes I was busy talking rather than snapping pictures! Anyway if you follow me on Snap Chat, you would have seen how busy the event was, and the people I met on the day.
I may feature more posts like this in the future, just to update everyone on what to expect from your favourite brands. Next time I will take more pictures, I promise haha!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post, and visiting my blog! Keep an eye out, because I’m going back to posting on Monday’s and Thursday’s. If you want to read more posts like this, follow me on Bloglovin. Share the love by liking, sharing and commenting.
Until the next post!
