Hello, I am back again with another post, today talking about my newest shoes, the Bottega Veneta Stretch Sandals in green! It’s been an interesting few months where we have been getting ready to head back out to socialise with lockdown being lifted to realise that maybe this outdoor dining thing is not for the faint-hearted. We can finally wear the clothes to real places and not just for the blog and gram!
Bottega Veneta’s mesh pumps were an instant hit when they appeared as part of Daniel Lee’s debut collection for the brand in 2019. This year the now iconic (argue amongst yourselves) ‘Stretch’ mules have got an update, in a range of bold bright summer colours. Once you get one, trust me you will want more! I had a hard time picking a colour but swayed to green, and now I’m loving everything green. Be sure to come back to see the new outfits I will be posting on the blog, so let’s get into this post!

Bottega Veneta’s Sandles of SS21
In today’s look, I have styled these sandals with an old favourite this leather blazer from ASOS, some cycling shorts from Zara I believe (they are super old). I like this look because both of these items are wardrobe staples that can be worn in many different ways and easy to reinvent with different accessories such as this belt I have added here. The belt is from a brand called Nanushka and is vegan leather. I’m so impressed with the quality of their vegan leather, you can barely tell the difference between the belt and the blazer which is real. The Bottega Veneta Stretch Sandals are just fantastic, these have a square toe which is very flattering (although may not be everyone’s vibe), with the web netting covering the toe area as well as the back, with lace-ups. The heel is 3.5 inches, which a great height if you don’t like wearing super high heels, but still gives that elegant illusion of more height.
The style of these shoes makes it very versatile, whereby it can be dressed up or down or for a brunch to evening look. No matter what your style is, these shoes just work. The heel is 3.5 inches, which a great height if you don’t like wearing super high heels, but still gives that elegant illusion of it being higher than it actually is. As the lace on the shoes is long enough, you can also tie up the shoes in a variety of ways. I prefer tieing up the shoes up my legs slightly with the bow at the back.
I decided to get these shoes as I realised that my shoe collection was missing that pop of colour. I’ve been dressing in black for too long as I’ve mentioned in previous posts, and I’m keen to move to a brighter palette for summer. Shoes and accessories are a good way to inject colour into a fairly neutral outfit as I have done here. Green is the colour of Spring Summer 2021 for sure, with other high street brands responding with their collections. This bright ‘grass green’ as it’s called has been dubbed the ‘Bottega green’ and I’m loving it! Let me know what you think, and let me know what shoes from Bottega Veneta SS21 collection that you have your eye on and what colours too!
