Colour popping is such a summer style staple. What better way to enjoy the weather, but wear bright bold contrasting colours. In my last post ‘Marrakech – Le Jardin Majorelle Yves Saint Laurent’, I’m so obsessed with how the orange clashes against the cobalt Marrakech blue. This has totally inspired me to me more experimental with colours and prints.
With another holiday coming up, and me slowly building up my holiday wardrobe. Mainly consisting of dresses at the moment, and so much colour. I’ve been living in blacks and neutrals for too long, so introducing some colour popping was well and truly needed.

Colour Popping for Summer
This mustard number is from NA-KD fashion, I cam across the site on Instagram as you do, and totally fell in love with this dress. NA-KD fashion has fast become a favourite place to browse online, and is the house to many other unique brands from all over the world. Such as from For Love and Lemons and Keepsake The Label and much more. The price ranges from high-street to high end, with more low key designer brands. So it’s a great place to shop if you’re bored of turning up to events in the same outfit as everyone else.
Yellow and pink are great contrasting colours. When colour popping your outfits, it can be a little risky knowing which colours work best in contrast together. Usually colours of the same brightness and hue will always work well together. So pastels with pastels, and bold colours with bold. Putting red next to a minty pastel green, wouldn’t work. So that’s a goos rule of thumb to follow. However, they do say colours that are opposites on the colour wheel are complementary. So if you want to be more technical about it haha, then use that!
I styled this dress with these amazing sale finds in Top Shop. These shoes were also available in black, but both have sold out this week! But if you do spot them in store, they are only £30 on sale! I teamed the dress and the shoes with my trusted Alexander Wang Prisma bag, which I believe this particular one is sold out now. However, there are different sizes and hardware available which I have linked below. Let me know what you think of this outfit, and hope you have a lovely Monday!
