Hello beautiful people! Today I’m going to be talking about some of this season’s biggest trends this autumn-winter. Faux leather everything and chocolate brown. But first, let’s address something…..I’ve been gone for a minute on this blog.
So much has happened, I’ve also changed and grown and become the woman I want to be and I’m loving it! I’ve always competed against the person I was yesterday, just to ensure I remain driven in everything I do. Writing and creating content was something I missed, so no more excuses here I am! That’s enough rambling, let’s get into this look.
Faux Leather Skirt Chronicles
Brown, black and neutral tones are the classic autumn-winter colours, however this year it’s all about leather and chocolate brown. So brown leather trenches, trousers and black leather blazers, skirts and trousers. In this look, I’ve styled this chocolate brown shirt from Massimo Dutti. The shirt is made from a cotton and silk organza, with a kent collar and shoulder pads, another throwback trend this season. The colour, shape and fabric gives this classic shirt an updated vibe.
This faux leather skirt is from Zara. It’s midi length with a croc-effect to it and a high split. The PU leather of this skirt is slightly stretch which gives it a flattering element despite the fact it is a straight skirt. I love the mix of the textures in this look and the dark neutral tones. I’ve been living in black lately. If you’ve been following me for a while you may notice I’ve lost a bit of weight as mentioned above, and have been going through the process of updating my wardrobe as nothing fits anymore!
The silk mix of the shirt, the structure the shoulder pad gives against the leather gives this look a nice expensive vibe. The shirt was a little pricey admittedly, however, I’ve always been a believer in investing in your basics and separates. This is a piece which will be in my wardrobe for a while. Let me know your thoughts on this look, and if you liked this post as it’s been a while since your girl has done this!
