Hi Lovelies, Happy Thursday!

In today’s post I’m going to be talking about the ultimate winter essential, fur coats! Faux fur to be more precise. I own two fur coats now, and even though they are similar in colour – they are very much needed, and they serve their own individual outfit purposes. As the temperatures have dropped this week, I’ve been wearing my coats back-to-back.

This week started off great, but I got hit again with illness leaving me visually impaired. I then ended up losing someone close to me. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster, but if anything I’ve learnt so much this week. Time is so precious and it’s something once lost, you can never get back. Be kind to people always, spend time and pray with the ones you love. Life also goes on, so despite my vision being blurry in one eye, I’m keeping it pushing and writing this post. One eye strong!  Anyway lets get into the main focus of the post!

As the temperatures drop to those minus numbers, a fur coat couldn’t be more essential. If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen me, a few weeks back wearing my grey fur coat with a gold top. I was so cold that day, I just wore it out (after asking everyone for their opinion). Anyone who knows me well, will know that I always do the opposite of what the majority advise. Or I just do my own thing, especially when is comes to fashion and style. So if you were wondering… the majority said I shouldn’t, haha!

This sassy polar bear cocoon coat is from Top Shop, I’ve been calling my Puff Daddy coat sine I got it- it has been the warmest thing ever! It comes in at a close second (after my Patagonia coat) as my most warmest jacket. I was literally able to wear this with my Isabel Marant t-shirt under the coat.

This fur coat is cocoon shaped, with one center popper fastening. It has large slit pockets, and is extremely warm! I love this fur coat as it’s ideal for any occasion, casually like I’ve styled here, or perfect over a nice party dress. Fur coats are definitely an essential winter staple, and as we enter into winter, coats will be your main staple. So I believe it’s important to have many winter coats, from sassy to practical!

I chose to style this jacket with this Isabel Marant Etoile tee I got from Farfetch a few weeks back, a pair of Top Shop mom jeans and of course, my fave velvet shoes from ASOS. Don’t be surprised to see this coat all over the blog and Instagram. I’ve been too spendy so far with coats!
