This Gucci belt isn’t new news, however it is one of the latest additions to my wardrobe. In my previous post ‘Coach Rogue Bag & Spring Power Dressing’, I speak about power dressing and how it can help boost your over all confidence. In addition, I also mention how power dressing can also include wearing statement accessories, which can add the sass you need for your outfit and your day.
So what is power dressing anyway? It’s the act of dressing in a manor to show that you hold a position of importance, typically in the workplace. Now with power dressing becoming a growing trend, facilitated by feminism and power dressing icons such as Grace Jones and Anna Wintour, I’ve been inspired to do this more often after reading an article on Farfetch’s new online editorial called the Style Guide. The article was about power dressing for modern times. It takes a look at women in politics in the UK and in the US.
So how are you incorporating power dressing day-to-day as a women? What are your thoughts on this? You can read more on this article called ‘Power Dressing for Modern Times’. So lets get into the outfit!

The Gucci Belt & Power Accessories
Power accessories essentially make a statement; and what better way to add the sass to your outfits. The Gucci belt has been on of those accessories I have been eyeing up for some time now. However as Instagram famous this belt is, it has so far been worth the investment and super hard to get hold of! This belt goes with almost every outfit that needs a belt, and a great statement piece to add to those summer dresses, bringing it in at the waist.
Statement accessories really do add the sass and confidence to an outfit. In this instance I chose to wear a statement belt, however this could be a handbag, earrings or a necklace, styled similar to the power dressing icons mentioned above. Everyone will have their thing, when it comes to completing an outfit – and mind is usually a hand bag. Power accessories need to be the highlight of your outfit. Something you wear and you feel good in, and ready to take over the world.
I styled my utility trousers with this classic asymmetric top, and a mix between my Gucci Princetown loafers and some black heels. I wanted to show how versatile these trousers have been despite the colour and shape. Previously, I styled these trousers with metallic mules from Malone Souliers, and an ASOS WHITE top in my post – ‘Utility Chic & Malone Souliers’. I’ve mentioned s few time before that I don’t want this blog to feature totally new outfits every time. Lets face it, we all may repeat that new dress twice in a week because it’s so nice!
