Jacquemus is a brand I haven been following for a while now, so it’s surprising this is my first Jacquemus purchase. Today’s post is featuring my new Jacquemus T-Shirt which I got some time back and finally wearing it. I originally planned this with another outfit, so the look you see here is actaully accidental. I haven’t had a chance to wear this look again sure to the London weather moving like it’s Noevember when it is now July (we’ll save the weather rant for another time).
Simon Porte Jacquemus since founding his French ready-to-wear label in 2009, has gaind critial acclaim and a cult following by women and influencers. Simon used his mother’s maiden name to honor her memory and to launch his brand. Jacquemus sillouttes have become very unique to the brand with how they reinvent French cliché shapes, exaggerated proportions and deconstructed tailoring. A brand which I have been following for a while now so lets get into this look!

Jacquemus Le T-shirt Baci cotton jersey top
Jacquemus as I mentioned has been a brand of interest to me for a while and discovered it while browsing Net-A-Porter a few years ago and almost bought their shirt which has become a staple classic to the brand. I’ll link it here. I also restisted tempatation in gettin the Le Chiquito and Bambiano bag for a few reasons. I went throguh a mini bag phase and decided I needed to let it go haha, although the mini bags I do have fit a lot just not my phone! So the collection I do have isn’t a waste.
As mentioned, I originally styled this look with a pair of mum jeans, however, mid way changing outfots for a reel I discovered this combination. I love the minor clash in the textures and colours of the fabrics, with a mix of bold and soft. The skirt is satin* and the top is made from a jersery fabric which feels luxurious. The top is underwired, and has two straps to wrap around in any direction that you want. It’s not nesseesary to wear a bra with this top as the underwire provides the support. However, if you have bigger girls it may be worth wearing a bra for the added support. I love the normal t-shirt / crop-top vibes, them bam we have an event going on around the boob area. It’s fun and unexpected. The skirt is from…*drum rolls* Zara haha! I love the pastel yellow of this, and yes the string on the font is non-functional. The rouching detail also is great in disguising that food baby too.
So the question is, will I be buying more from Jacquemus? The answer is yet. I was put off from buying their mini bags for the sake of me already having other mini bags, but mainly due to Instagram. I felt like every time I opened the app everyone and their pet dog had those bags. I personally prefer to be as individual as I can, but the reality is brands won’t make one item just for you haha. Also, instagram makes it seem like everyone has something, but in real life when you go about your business you won’y see items you have your eye on as frequently. So do not let this put you off! Currently, I’m more into their ready-to-wear, so you will be seeing more from Jacquemus on this blog. Let me know what you think, and what you want from Jacquemus! Links down below!
