Hey Guys! Happy Friday!
Sticking with Fashion Week on the blog, I’ve picked some of my favourite street style looks at this seasons shows in London. Paris Fashion week is now in fill swing and I’m already checking for style inspiration for my autumn winter wardrobe. At the moment I’ve bought a few velvet pieces, as I said in my last post ‘The Velvet Trend AW16’ this is already big in all our favorite high street stores.
I love street style fashion during Fashion Week, as it’s the perfect opportunity for guests of the shows to pull out their best outfits. Obviously you will get those people who go all out, and wear things they will never wear. All in the name of being papped and potentially ending up in a magazine! Regardless, everyone wants to show off their personal style and fashion, and to ensure they stand out. This season I went for the casual chic look (in my last post ‘London Fashion Week SS17’), as I wanted to be stylish but comfy while waiting around for the shows. Fashion Week is always a great atmosphere if you get a chance to go, and you’re really into fashion – and the street style is always worth keeping your eye on.
Some of the key trends and themes fashionista’s wore include colour block layering. So with jackets and jumpers, which brightened up the dull weather those days. I also saw a few people with beautiful embroidered leather jackets, and bomber jackets – which is also another hit this autumn winter. There was also a lot of long printed dresses, checks and tartan in non traditional cuts and silhouettes. And one of my faves was the updated way of layering your summer dress over some jeans and heels! So I may replicate this look, as it’s such a good way to make sure you get full use out of your dresses.
Anyway! I have picked some of my fave looks from the shows below. These were the top 5 that I love and have taken inspiration from as I update my autumn wardrobe!
