After a stressful few weeks trying to fix my blog, I’m back again with a shiny new blog post, all about this white shirt! January has been so busy with strategy meetings (I work full time), and travel for work. As always January also means new hair for me! I decided to go short, so I hope you like it!

I’m almost done restoring all my posts, after my host providers experienced a system outage. Lesson of the month is to always remember to back up your site, and download it onto your laptop. This is because your back ups in your cPanel, are also at risk!

Anyway, I’ve since been more experimental with my style as I mentioned in my 2017 Style Update post. I’ve rekindled my love for flares, and it’s weirdly motivated me to fit back into some old pairs. One of which is a beautiful navy colour, high-waisted and elegant pair by Armani (a few seasons old). So stay tuned on my mini fitness journey haha!

The White Shirt

The white shirt is such a classic staple, that every woman needs in her wardrobe. It’s a timeless piece that that never goes out of fashion, and fits with most of your outfits. More recently, the oversized shirt has stolen the show; an advancement to this classic. This particular shirt is from H&M, and I’ve been impressed with the overall quality!

I styled this shirt with a pair of flared trousers, also from H&M (yes my obsession continues). I originally wore this shirt normally as you do, then thought mmm…then I took my arms out the sleeves, and tied it round. Suddenly I had a new top, and decided to shoot it! Wearing your shirt in different ways, was a mini trend we saw last year, from some fashion creatives. This is definitely something I will be repeating with other shirts, as it instantly made my classic white shirt more versatile than it already is.

These flares have definitely been my best purchase this year! Well apart from a new luxe purchase I will reveal on the blog very soon. They are made of stretchy material, which is great, as it makes them so comfy to wear. When I first wore these, I felt so nervous as it’s a bit out there for me. Well, for what my style had become; and it felt like they had gone out of fashion some what. Turns out not! But they aren’t for everyone!

As well as being creative with my style, the cold weather also forced me to be creative on this shoot. I will definitely explore various indoor locations to shoot, such as this one, as well as bringing in more creative concepts. I hope you guys follow me one my journey to excellence!
