Everyone went bardot top crazy last year. However this spring/ summer it’s all about the wrap, off-the-shoulder tops – similar to the one I wore in this post ‘Utility Chic & Malone Souliers’. Nonetheless, this trend is still going strong, with gingham hybrids, pink and many other summer trends.

I hate making promises and braking them. Life has become so hectic, with work and balancing a blog. Writing and taking pictures is still very much a passion of mine – so bare with me as I get back to my usual schedule. Once I master balancing work and blog, I will definitely follow this up with a blog post. But for now, lets talk about the off-the-shoulder dress, I’m trying to pass off as a long top!

The Off-the-Shoulder Dresses

This gem is from Zara. If I’m honest I have a love hate relationship with Zara. They do amazing pieces, at great affordable prices. Zara is one of my high-street go-to’s to shop from. This is simply because you can buy an entire outfit from there and look expensive. The cuts, tailoring and fabrics are well designed; when pulled off well – looks more high end high street. However my hate is when you go to an event, and everyone is wearing the same dress or kimono as you. I tend to stay away from Zara pieces which become popular.

I styled this dress with a pair of jeans, as it’s fairly short. However as English weather is so temperamental, layering your summer dresses is the way forward! I tend to do this a lot during transitional periods. So between spring moving into summer, and summer into winter. So this style is perfect for periods where it’s not hot enough for the dress, but not too cold also. I’ve also paired this look with my favourite shoes ever, from Aquazzura and of course my Pochette Metis by Louis Vuitton.

This look is is full of pink and creamy hues with hints of mint green. I love how the brown monogram bag creates some contrast between the colours. As you guys know, I usually hate matching. This is a simple off-duty look when going for drinks with your friends – on this occasion a roof top bar. This works if you want to go for that slightly overdressed look, the heels are a large complement to this look. Let me know your thoughts on this outfit, and keep up-to-date with posts on Bloglovin!
