STK Bread - Style and the SassSTK 4 STK 5STK 6

Hey Guys!

It’s been a while, and I hope this month has treated you well! January is always a quiet time of year for me. A month filled with reflection and personal life planning. It’s also one of the longest pay periods. I personally hate being paid before Christmas, because we have to wait longer than the usual 4 weeks to get paid. I’ve also been quiet blogging, but I will definitely be picking up the momentum as my blog is still a baby.

Today I thought I would write a restaurant review of STK. I actually went back in December before Christmas, but I’ve been thinking of going back again as the food and atmosphere was amazing. If you like steak then STK is a must try for you steak lovers.

If I’m honest, as much as I do love steak, I’m not the biggest fan of eating steak out, as most places seem offended when I ask for it to be made well done. Yes I know, “it ruins the meat blah blah” but I honestly do prefer my steak cooked that way. However, I did try some medium rare steak at STK and I actually really liked it…before it got to bloody for me haha!

Me and my friend Elaine went to eat at STK on a Friday night at the ME London Hotel in Strand. You may remember the outfit I wore in ‘The Jumpsuit Fave’ post, that outfit was actually from the same evening.  The atmosphere was great, really good reception and service, and the DJ was great too. We also made some random friends who were regulars, and they gave us some good recommendations to try on the menu, and they were great company that evening.

So what did we eat?

Starters:

  • Complimentary garlic butter bread
  • Coconut crumbed prawns, with kimchi slaw and lime aioli

Mains:

  • Crispy Bass served with gnocchi, greens and pancetta
  • Medium sirloin 350g beef fillet steak, topped with a grilled lobster tail

Sides:

  • Lobster mac & cheese
  • Roasted parsnips with maple syrup and rosemary
  • Fries

Desert:

  • Hot Chocolate Fondant with milk ice cream

Drinks:

  • STK Martini

Price: ££££

We were so stuffed by the end of this meal we moved upstairs to Radio Roof Top Bar and enjoyed the rest of our night. I would definitely recommend STK if you’re a steak lover, and if you want to dress up and enjoy a bit of a fancy evening. You can check out their website here.

Anyway let me know if your thoughts guys, and see you on the next post!

XxX

Yeah it is pricey, but totally worth it. Everyone keeps saying medium rare, I’m not ready yet haha!
