Who doesn’t love a good maxi dress? Well I know I do! Maxi dresses for me is more than a dress. I usually opt for wrapped or button down maxi dresses, as it falls more naturally over jeans to recreate this look. In addition, they can also be worn as spring style duster coats. This is a style I love repeating as it’s a good transitional look, between the warm and the cold months. It also ensures you get the most versatility from your clothing, as possible. I styled a similar style dress in my previous post ‘How to style your Summer Dress in the Autumn’.
I’m so glad that the snow is behind us. It made me realise how I’m never prepared for the winter, especially snow! So this winter I’ll be taking my winter wardrobe seriously this year. With spring almost here, I’m looking forward to wearing lighter fabrics, embracing the latest trends as well as trips. Anyway, that’s enough digressing, let’s get into the post!
The Maxi Dress and The Duster Coat
This leopard print dress is from GANNI, I have clearly have a new obsession with this brand, and leopard print haha! I style a leopard print top in my latest productivity post. This maxi dress is made from 100% silk, and buttons all the way down, to just above the knee. So there is a little slit in the dress, which is great for if you wish to wear it as a duster, long top over a pair of jeans. Or to wear it as a normal dress along with the belt it comes with!
I hunted this dress down for a while before I managed to find my size on online. Leopard print is one of those prints you have to be careful with. It’s a fine line between tacky and chic when it comes to leopard print. On this occasion, GANNI has got it just right (hence my sudden obsession haha).
Despite this dress is being a bold statement, it can still act as a staple piece in your wardrobe. This is because it can be worn in several different ways. However, most importantly, leopard print is an animal print that doesn’t really go out of fashion totally. It always comes back around in fashion cycles. So once this goes out of style, I can pull it out again when it comes back into style haha! Let me know if you agree.

The coat dress in leopard print is so glamour and edgy! Love the way you layered it over black separates. Love the gold metallic pointy pumps! I also made a post on leopard print clothes and accessories to try in 2018, check it out:

Hope these ideas will inspire!
