The mini bag, or the micro bag as some brands are calling it, has been one of the biggest bag trends this year! Designer brands such as Balenciaga, Valentino, Gucci and Chloé have had their mini bags debut on runways during fashion week. One of the most notable mini bags this year has been the Chloe Nile bag. However, the other biggest contradicting bag trend, especially last season has been the maxi holdall. A total opposite of the micro bag.
Balenciaga has been a brand I have been following for some time now. Known for it’s contemporary but feminine pieces, the brand has set itself apart from the other fashion houses. The brand remains a big influence in fashion. My bag obsession has been a little calm this year, with my last favourite bag purchase being the ‘The Pochette Métis by Louis Vuitton’. I finally have a new distraction, with my new mini bag!

The Mini Bag – Balenciaga Classic Nano City Bag
Balenciaga has super shrunk one of their iconic bags, The City Bag, known for its giant hardware and glossy textured leather. This particular bag is called the Classic Nano City bag, meaning that it is smaller than the actual mini version of the city bag. My Nano Mini City comes in this dove grey with gold chunky hardware. The neutral colour means that it goes with most of my autumn wardrobe, and is also a great transition colour.
I chose to style this bag with this dusky pink velvet pink suit from Top Shop. Unfortunately, it’s sold out! But they do have a few left instore! It also comes in a greeny mustard colour. This suit is my absolute favourite colour (apart from gold), made from a sassy fabric – velvet! The suit is practically the same colour as my pink Mira Aquazzura heels. I love the way the dove grey and gold hardware compliment the colour of this suit. When it comes to the colder seasons, I tend to wear more blazers and tailoring.
Mini bags can be styled in other ways other than suits! You can adjust the straps of this bag and wear it around your waist as a belt bag, which I’ve seen people do who own wallet on the chains. Or as a cross body bag on a casual day with a puffer jacket and a pair of jeans. On night’s out, I’ve worn this bag as a clutch to make the look more chic. Let me know your thoughts on this bag and my overall look. happy Monday!

Happy to see another black fashion blogger doing her thing! I’m looking to incorporate more fashion looks into my blog. I’ve been very heavily focused on beauty lately, which is really fun but I wanna have a variety.
