The Maxi Shirt – Time to Transition

Hi Guys. Happy Thursday!

Today’s style post is about this maxi shirt I picked up before I went on holiday, but it’s been too hot to wear it until now! This week has been manic work wise, so I’m already looking forward to the weekend. The days are now starting to get slightly cooler, especially in the evenings. This means it’s time to start bringing out those transitional pieces as we begin to slip into autumn.

As well as wearing transitional pieces, my style seems to also be transitioning into something new. I’ve bought so many dresses in the last few weeks, which is odd! Shirts, jeans and trainers (occasionally loafers) has been my uniform for so long. I guess since starting this blog, I’ve been inspired to push my style limits. So I hope you stick around, and follow my style journey on my blog!

So I was browsing ASOS when I came across this beautiful maxi shirt from a brand called Parallel Lines. This brand have some great tailored separates, and their collection is designed for office – to night out looks. Which is great, as my social life happens after work! I had never herd of it before this point, and I had to buy this long shirt. The colour of the is this light beige colour, which is perfect for this transitional period, where the sun is still shining but it’s a little windy. So it still looks summary, but you’re kept warmer as your arms are covered.

The top is cropped at the front, so it sits just above a pair of high-waisted jeans and ties round at the back. It also has a popper to close up the cleavage area, so your chest isn’t out, as it doesn’t have buttons. I’ve also style this maxi shirt since with a pair of shorts, and trainers.

This particular version of the shirt is now sold out. But they have a really nice new one up on ASOS, I’ve linked below. So let me know what you think of the outfit, and maxi shirts like this!
